Cool Pop Mallet Solos

I regularly write mallet solos based on pop songs to let my students work on something else instead of the “boring stuff” they need to learn from their method book.

With these solos including play-along I established to:

✅ learn them to listen and respond to others
✅ make them function better in a band or ensemble
✅ keep them motivated in a fun way

Besides the melody part, most solos have a accompaniment part for marimba as well, so you can play it as a duet or use it for a small ensemble.
